Are you sure?
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12
If you are trusting in your own effort to save you from a place called Hell, you need to know that won’t work.
But, you say:
I’m a good person … I live a good life … I go to church … I am trying to live by the 10 Commandments … I live by the golden rule, etc.
Do you think that will save you?
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Religion will not save you!
No church can save you—but Jesus will if you turn your life over to Him.
Only Jesus can save you from Hell.
He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
You may not know it, but you literally choose your own eternal destiny. Heaven or Hell. Which will it be for you?
The only reason someone goes to Hell is because they reject Jesus Christ and do not trust Him to save them from their sins.
John 3:36, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
You could be like the rich man that was trusting himself in Luke 16:23. Like a bad dream, you could be hearing your own voice saying over and over again, I’m all set—I’m all set—I’m all set, for eternity in hell. That is not a picture of one that is “all set.”
On the other hand …
I John 5:11-13, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
Believe does not mean just believing intellectually.
You can know all about the Lord and not know Him. Believe means to put your entire life in His hands.
You need to admit you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Believe.
Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Accept Jesus as Savior
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).
Will you let Him in?
Are you tired of trying to do everything by yourself? Why not give it all to Him? Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Then you will be all set.
He wants to hear something like this from you.
“Lord, be merciful to me a sinner. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. I repent of my sins. Help me to be the kind of person you want me to be.”
If you prayed that prayer, and meant it with all your heart, now you can say, “I’M ALL SET” and know it!
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (II Corinthians 5:17).
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God” (I John 5:13).
This is just the beginning of an adventure you will never regret. Find a good, solid, Bible-believing, preaching and practicing church to attend so you can grow spiritually by the preaching of the Word of God. Ask the Lord if it is the right church for you.
