Many have forgotten that while they lay up treasure in earthly stocks and bonds, we must also be ready for life after death. This is the reality that so many have not looked into. Oh yes, you will live forever—in heaven or in hell. The choice is yours.

It is high time to invest in the Kingdom of God. Man has a spirit, and after death comes the awakening to a new life. If you do not invest in the Kingdom of God, then you will stand short before the throne. It would be as if you reached retirement age and went to Merrill Lynch or Met Life, only then to realize that you did not even put one dollar in for retirement! By then, it would be too late.

What is the Kingdom of God? The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Matthew 14:17). God has prepared a place for you so that where He is, you can be also.

How can I invest? In order to get into the Kingdom of God, you must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. Realize that He is your only hope for this present world and the world to come. Repent of your sins, asking forgiveness of whatever the sin is—whatever it is. All have sinned and come up short of God’s glory because of disobedience and rebellion. Be baptized in the name of Jesus. Baptism (immersion in water) is symbolic of your faith in identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

When you put your trust in Christ, you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, your guarantee of heaven. The Spirit of God will lead and guide you into all truth, help you overcome all obstacles in life, and make good preparation for the future. Once you have turned to God in repentance and faith, you will make an outward decision from an inward renewing—showing God and the world that you will now seek to leave all of your sinful actions and deeds behind and follow after God’s righteousness (Acts 2:38, 3:9, 8:12, 22:16).

Invest in the Kingdom of God where the moth and rust won’t eat up your treasure (Matthew 16:20-21). Your treasure is your soul, and the rewards that God has promised to those who serve Him faithfully. Where will you spend eternity? What will your answer be? How are you planning to be in heaven with Him one day?

Don’t get caught unaware: set time to invest in your heavenly home. ALL OF US WILL MEET FACE TO FACE WITH GOD ONE DAY. NO EXCEPTION!

Do not scoff at this, or say maybe next time, or tomorrow. Now is the acceptable time of the Lord. You have read this today, do not harden your heart or stiffen your neck in rebellion. Tomorrow may very well be too late. You are never too old or too young to accept Him in your life. Give your life to Jesus today. He will not turn you away. This investment is affordable to all, to anyone who wants to make heaven their home.
