DO NOT REJECT THE GREATEST LOVE

It is true that many people prefer to go where they are not genuinely needed. At one time or another, most people reject true love and relationships. They prefer to go where eventually their fingers (if not their whole being) will get burnt. Many prefer to look at that man/woman or that boy/girl who truly is not looking at them. But the person looking to embrace them with genuine love and affection, they cast away. When they venture to look at him/her, it is with less care and attention.

Why do most people prefer to waste their time, energy and money on that which will ultimately cause them pain and destruction?

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). On the cross, Jesus Christ suffered for you and me. He was crucified, his blood was shed for us and he rose again from the dead for our justification. So, why do you reject his precious love? Why do you choose pain and destruction? A life lived without Christ will ultimately cause you destruction.

“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians2:14,15).

I hope that you are not among the many who reject Christ, but if you are, you need to quickly retrace your steps. John 3:16,17 says: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

God, our creator and father, out of pure love, has given us Jesus Christ as the only Saviour of mankind. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts4:12). “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” (1 Timothy 2:3-6).

You need to accept him with your whole heart—do not accept him halfheartedly as some do. This will enable you to have peace and contentment as well as securing your eternity. “But godliness with contentment is great gain” (1 Timothy 6:6). The truth is, heaven and hell are real.

The Lord Jesus Christ is knocking right now at the door of your heart. Please allow him in. Do not delay. Stop rejecting him. This is the day of salvation, harden not your heart. Tomorrow may be too late. You never know what is going to happen the next minute.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20). PLEASE, open your door, open your heart completely without reserve and allow him in before it is too late.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Mathew 11:28).

WILL YOU COME TO HIM? Please do, it is an urgent and necessary commitment which every human being on earth must make, otherwise it will be catastrophic. THE DAY OF THE LORD IS TERRIBLE! WHO CAN STAND IT? Revelation 6:12-17.

Please, wherever you are now reading this message, stop for a moment and sincerely from your heart, repent of your sins and unbelief and call upon God, ask him to forgive you. Confess all known sins and ask the ever merciful God, to cleanse you with the blood of Jesus. Ask your Lord Jesus Christ, to come into your life and stay permanently. Tell him you surrender yourself completely to him. Ask him to erase your name from the book of death and write your name in the book of life. Finally, thank him for paying dearly for you on the cross (John 19:30).

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy” (Proverbs 28:13).

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:8-9).

Start reading the word of God prayerfully every day. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you in your daily Christian life. Pray always (particularly in the morning as you wake up from sleep and at night before you go to sleep). Pray fervently to God to lead you to a church where you will worship him in Spirit and Truth. Many out there are serving their belly and not God and his son Jesus Christ.
