Dirty clothes need to be washed.

The smell of them is enough to make you want to take them to the washer. If there’s no washer around you get some soap and soak them, dunk them in clean water, scrub them, and wash them. After they get washed, you dry them and wear them again. What a wonderful feeling it is to put on clean clothing.

Wearing clean clothes makes us look good on the outside but we can be a disaster on the inside as we may be suffering from guilt, loneliness, insecurities, anxiety, depression or sadness. Christ came to address the filth that is within our hearts. We all need to be cleansed of our sin and become a new creation in Christ, thus experiencing true reconciliation with God that only Christ was able to accomplish on the cross.

God loves you and made the way for you to be clean.

He sent His only Son (Jesus) to earth. Now the Bible says there is no forgiveness of sins except through the shedding of blood. But not just any blood shed can save You. It took the blood of God! The blood of Jesus Christ is the only blood pure enough to bathe you and wash away your sin. God became a man and took on flesh—He took on a human body—to rescue you, to save you from dying in your sins and going to hell for eternity. Why?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

God gave His only Son to die for you!

Yes, you! And Jesus did die, then three days later He rose from the dead and defeated death to pay your penalty for your sins. Believe this, have faith in this. It’s not about what you can do to be saved— it’s about what Jesus already did. You’re saved by grace through FAITH in trusting and relying upon Jesus’ finished work on the cross for your salvation.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

You can be saved from all your sins today and be washed clean.

Nothing else but the blood of the God-man Jesus Christ can wash away your sins. Be washed by the blood of Jesus today. Invite the Lord to transform you. To transform the way you think, your desires and your life and turn to Him today. Today is the day of salvation. Come through the wash and be clean—come to Jesus Christ and receive Him as Lord and Savior. Receive what He did on your behalf today.

“The blood of Jesus Christ [God’s] Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

Ask for Him to remember you and forgive you today, and He will.
