God’s Word says...

1. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). This verse explains that everyone is born a sinner, and is therefore separated from God.

2. “Wherefore, as by one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12). No matter how “good” or “bad” you may be, we are all born in this world a sinner, and because of sin we must personally decide to accept or reject the payment for that sin.

3. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” 
(Romans 6:23). All men die physically, but not every man dies spiritually. You can be born again through the Lord Jesus Christ, and be rescued from the penalty of sin—which is an eternity in Hell. God gives the gift of eternal life to all who trust in Him.

4. “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). By shedding His blood on Calvary’s cross, Christ paid the price for our sin.

5. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:9-10,13). The “whosoever” means you. If you will trust the death, burial and resurrection of Christ in simple faith for your soul’s salvation from hell, you can be 100% sure that you are going to Heaven. Nothing else will do—not being good, not being a church member, not being baptized—just simple faith in Jesus Christ.

You’ve just seen from God’s Word how easy it is to trust in Him and be assured of your eternity. Now, in simple faith, pray and ask the Lord to forgive you of your sin and save you:

“Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I know that Jesus died on the cross for me. Please forgive me of my sin, come into my heart, and be my Savior. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
