What if Jesus told you that you need to be saved?
He actually did. In the Bible, Jesus says,
“I am the door, and the person who enters through me will be saved” (John 10:9 NCV).
But what does it mean to be saved?
Jesus isn’t talking about rescuing us from physical danger. He is talking about rescuing us from the sin and separation that keeps us apart from God.
The Bible explains the problem clearly:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23 NKJV).
“Your sins are the roadblock between you and your God” (Isaiah 59:2 CEV).
We cannot fix this separation on our own.
That is why Jesus himself had to make a way.
The Bible explains exactly how he did it:
“Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit” (1 Peter 3:18 NLT).
Remember, Jesus said, “I am the door.” Through his death on the cross and resurrection, the way to heaven is now open to us.
The way is provided, but you must accept this way.
God offers salvation as a free gift, and the Bible tells us exactly how to receive it.
In Romans 10:9 (NKJV), it says:
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Confess with your mouth: Agreeing with God that you are a sinner and declaring your need for the Lord Jesus to be your Savior.
Believe in your heart: Placing your complete trust in the fact that Jesus died for you and rose from the dead to conquer sin and death.
A prayer to receive Jesus

Lord Jesus, I come to you admitting that I am a sinner. My sins have separated me from God, and I cannot save myself. Please forgive my sins, cleanse my heart, and bring me safely home to God. I place my complete trust in you as my Savior and my Lord. Thank you for being the door to eternal life and welcoming me in. Amen.
