I want to thank you for your service and sacrifice as an officer of the law.

You enable us, as ordinary citizens, to live in peace and safety. Daily you face dangerous situations and put your life on the line to protect us. Many officers have given their life while protecting us. We grieve with you when a fellow officer makes this ultimate sacrifice. We pray for those dear loved ones left behind. God sees this and says in His Word, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13 ).

It is because of your call to duty and the sacrifice you are making, that I give you this pamphlet with a message from the Word of God.

FIRST – God loves you and wants to fellowship with you, here on this earth and in Heaven, when that time comes. In Rev 3:20 Jesus says “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” God loves you and wants to fellowship with you.

SECOND – Our sins have separated us from fellowship with God. Isaiah 59:2 says, “…your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”

THIRD – Jesus gave Himself as a sacrifice to pay for our sins to restore that fellowship with God the Father. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for all…” (1 Timothy 2:5-6).

FOURTH – Jesus offers that payment as a gift to us so we can have eternal life and fellowship with Him and the Heavenly Father, now and in eternity. Romans 6:23 says “the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

FIFTH – This gift is offered to everyone, but it must be received. John 1:12 says “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.” We must receive that gift of eternal life by faith and repentance.

I and many other Americans pray for your safety every day.

However, you should prepare yourself to step into harm’s way at any moment. None of us like to be reminded of life’s uncertainties. Please don’t be offended by the bluntness of this pamphlet. It is given out of sincere love and concern for you and your eternal soul.

You will spend eternity somewhere. God wants you to spend eternity with Him. But remember, because we are sinners, that fellowship is broken.

Please take a moment to talk to the Lord.

He is listening. Ask Him to forgive you for your sins and open your heart to Him. If you are sincere, He will gladly come into your heart and life, to save you and give you eternal life. Romans 10:13 says “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Call upon Him now. Don’t put it off. A sincere prayer expressing your faith and repentance is all you can do and is all that Jesus wants from you.

Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus said “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

You can pray right now and be saved.

Here is an example prayer:

Dear Lord, I know I’m a sinner and separated from you because of my sin. Jesus, I believe you died on the cross for my sins. I ask you to please forgive me, cleanse me and come into my life right now and save me. Thank you, Lord. Please help me live the rest of my life for you. Amen.

If you said this prayer and meant it, remember Romans 10:13 says “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” This is just the beginning of a new life in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “…if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Let someone know of your
decision to receive the Lord.

Let us know! Romans 10:11 says “Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” Share the good news with someone.
