For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. (Matthew 25:35)
There is no greater love than God’s love.
He loves us so much that He sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, to take the punishment for our sins. Jesus was mocked, beaten, and bruised. He wore a crown of thorns. He was nailed to a cross. Then for three long hours, God’s wrath poured down on Him.
Because Jesus died for us and rose again, all we need to do is turn to Him in faith, trusting Him and accepting His free gift of salvation.
Will you accept God’s gift of love today?
By this we know love, that He [Jesus] laid down His life for us. 1 John 3:16
God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
