“GOD’S WILL IS NEVER CONTRARY TO GOD’S WORD”

What are you trusting to get you into heaven: religion, good works, church membership, sacraments, ordinances, etc.?

Salvation (eternal deliverance, redemption) is found not in a church, not in religion, not by doing good works, not by feelings, not by observing sacraments or ordinances, but salvation is only found in a person, the Lord Jesus Christ!

My prayer and plea, for all of you sincere religious seekers of truth, is to examine what God Himself has to say about how to be right with Him.

“Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32) is the promise of God. Simply knowing the truth will not bring freedom, but only frustration. Application of truth, however, will always bring freedom.

PLEASE DO NOT SACRIFICE THE ETERNAL ON THE ALTAR OF THE TEMPORARY

Satan himself will encourage you to do what is “good” as to prevent you from doing what is best or what is correct. Remember, God’s will is never contrary to God’s Word!

Please allow God to speak to you through His Word, the Bible. The only thing God puts above His own name is His Word (Psalm 138:2b).

God is not a liar, for it is impossible for God to lie (Titus 1:2).

God wants you to really know, not hope or feel, but know that you have eternal life (1 John 5:13).

Please consider what I call the ABC’s of salvation:

A. Admit to God that you acknowledge yourself as a sinner in agreement with what His Word declares in Romans 3:10 and 23. “There is none righteous, no not one.” “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

B. Because you are a sinner you will incur judgment for sin, or you can choose to receive God’s free gift of salvation. Only you can choose.

Romans 6:23a “The wages of sin is death.”

This is not physical death but the second death described in Revelation 21:8. “But the fearful” (those afraid to get saved because of pride) “and the unbelieving” (those who won’t recognize Jesus is God in the flesh, John 8:24, 1 Timothy 3:16a) “and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers” (this includes drug users too) “and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death” (hell).

Now realize that your sin is sending you to hell. Then repent (turn to God), and believe the gospel, “which is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes” (Romans 1:16), and receive God’s free gift. Romans 6:23b says “But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

A gift is something you accept or reject. If you try to work for it then it is not a gift, but a wage or payment. Besides, God clearly declares in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast [brag].”

If you try to purchase this free gift, you insult both the gift and the giver. Besides, it is priceless; it cost the shed blood of God the Son, Jesus Christ.

Now since you can neither work for, nor purchase this precious gift, how can you obtain it?

C. Romans 10:13 “For whosoever [that’s you] shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” The Gospel is that Jesus Christ died for sinners (that’s us), was buried, and rose again.

His shed Blood is the full, complete payment for full atonement. “Come now [not later], and let us reason together saith the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)

God wants to reason with you. If you are reasonable and truly see your need to be saved, and want to receive that free gift, pray a prayer like this if it truly reflects the attitude of your heart!

“Lord, I know that I am a sinner, and deserve the payment for sin, the second death, hell. But I here and now accept Jesus as my personal Saviour and Lord. Lord Jesus, come into my heart and save me. I am trusting You and Your finished work on the cross and resurrection for my complete salvation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Respectfully in Christ,

Ernest A. Altomari,
a sinner saved by grace

A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO ALL THOSE USING PATRON SAINTS AND/OR MEDIATORS

Question: When you pray to your patron “saint”, are you praying TO or THROUGH them?

Bible facts: Only God Himself is omnipresent (everywhere at the same time). No saint, nor angel, nor any other created being is omnipresent. This is one of God’s attributes. Therefore, even if a created being was meant to receive prayer (and they are not), since only God is omnipresent, this patron saint could only hear at the very best one person; providing they are in the same locality.

God’s Word clearly proclaims in John 14:6, “Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”

1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is One God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

And since only God is omniscient (all knowing, infinite knowledge), He states in Isaiah 65:24 “…before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”

You can plainly see that God wants us to know only Jesus (God in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3:16a) is the Way, not a way, but the way, He is the truth, not a truth, but the truth.

Jesus did not come with a message, He is the message! To pray to a man is to put men on the same level as God. That is idolatry.

God only put His Word above His own Name (Psalm 138:2b); and His very own Word declares in plain, clear language, “Jesus is the only Way to and through, and is the only Mediator.”

I too spent many, many hours on my knees before statues of saints until the Holy Spirit revealed the truth to me through His Word. Romans 10:17 says “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”

Please, “let God be true and every man a liar” (Romans 3:4). Repent of this sin! Only God Himself can hear your prayers (or honor your praying).

Do not insult God, and sin against a Holy God by bowing to men alive or dead, nor by praying to, and/or through man.

Jesus, God the Son, is the only way to heaven, direct access, the door. “I am the door, by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved” (John 10:9).

Confess and forsake this and all sin. Trust Christ and Him alone. Don’t allow a smoke screen of religion to prevent you and your prayers of entrance to the throne of God.

True and pure Christianity is not churchianity. Religion says, “Try”; God says “Trust”. Religion says “Do”; Christ on the cross says, “It is done”. Religion can only make you religious. Only Christ can make you righteous (right with God).

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31). Believe on, not in, but on. Lean, trust wholly on Him for complete salvation.

Respectfully in Christ,
Ernest A. Altomari
