“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Here, the Lord Jesus Christ is presenting an invitation to anyone and everyone who is seeking rest for their souls.

Are you burdened? Are you tired within?

Trust Jesus today and He will give you rest!

True and lasting rest is only found in Jesus, but the sad thing is that so many will never turn to him.

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life” (John 5:39-40).

Will you come to Jesus today and receive Him as your personal Saviour?

Jesus wants to give you rest now and eternal life.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Jesus came to this earth around 2,000 years ago. He lived a sinless life, but then He died in our place on the cross. He then was buried and rose again the third day, so that all who will trust in Him for salvation can have eternal life.

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

The judgment for our sins is spiritual death or separation from God, but Jesus took our judgment, so that we can have eternal life and rest in Him.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

But this rest and eternal life is reserved only for those who will come and trust Jesus as Saviour and Lord!

“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37).

The invitation has been given!

Jesus promises that if you come, He will receive you. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done. If you come and trust in Jesus today, He will not cast you away.

The price for your sins has already been paid. Come to Jesus today, because tomorrow may never come.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
