“This is a test of the heavenly broadcasting system. For the next sixty seconds, god will be conducting a test. The next sound you hear after this announcement will be the sound of a trumpet. This is only a test.”
Suppose as you were watching television or listening to your radio you heard this announcement—how would you respond?
Well, there will be no test.
Don’t be mistaken, the trump will sound. 1 Corinthians 15:52 says “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trump will sound.”
The question is, will you be ready? If your answer to this question is “no,” you’d better get ready, because Jesus will be coming again. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 says “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel.”
You might ask yourself “How do I get ready?”
Our sins separate us from God, but He has made the way of salvation! God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die as payment for our sins. We can’t earn a place in Heaven, but God gives it as a gift when we repent (turn from our way to His way) and receive Jesus through faith (put our trust in what He has done).
The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Won’t you take that step now?
Tomorrow is not promised to any of us. Express the desire of your heart to God. It might sound something like this:
“I confess that I have sinned, but I repent of my sins right now. I believe in your Son Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for my sins and rose on the third day for my justification. I ask you to come into my life and fill me with your Holy Spirit. I thank you for saving me, in Jesus name, amen.”
If you said that prayer and meant it, you have begun your reconciled relationship with God. God bless you and keep you. Now go out and tell someone and pass it on!- Evangelist Rhonda Jackson
