Is Life a Bummer?

Have you ever felt like there’s no point to life unless you have friends, unless you are “awesome,” or unless you have places to go and fun things to do? If you don’t fit in or you get left out, your life may seem worthless.

Have you ever said, “I hate my life”? Have you ever just wanted something that will make you feel good? Sometimes life seems so empty, so people try to fill it with anything - drugs, sex, or music. But that doesn’t work. Life just gets more messed up. It is easy to lie to others about things, but it’s scary when you find out you have also been lying to yourself. Life can get confusing, and it’s easy to lose hope. But there is an answer!

Life Can be Great!

There is One who really gives purpose to living and keeps you from wasting your life. One who makes life worthwhile, and doesn’t destroy your mind and body while you are finding yourself. It’s God! He does exist. He wrote in the Bible, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.” Satan wants “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” your life, but Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” You can have a life that is worth living.

Start Living Today

Believe in Jesus; believe that He died on the cross for your sins. “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree.” Ask Him to save you from the penalty of your sins. The “unbelieving … and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Your New Awesome Life

God created you and He knows what you need. “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee.” “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” He can give you friends who are kind and caring. He can provide a significant purpose for living and fill your life with love and peace. God does love you, and He wants you to be part of His family. “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.” Join God’s family and get a new life, a new destiny, and go home to heaven when your life here is over. You can become part of God’s family right now. Say words like these to Him in prayer:

“Dear God, my life is a mess. I believe in your Son, Jesus, who paid for my sins on the cross. Forgive me. Save me. Help me live a life that pleases you. Thank you for making me part of Your family. In Jesus name, Amen.”

The Bible Tells the Real Truth

The Scriptures are totally reliable, being given to man supernaturally by the Spirit of God. There is only One God, though He functions simultaneously as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created life and the universe in six days. Adam and Eve were the first humans, but their disobedience brought a curse on all mankind. Jesus, the sinless Son of God, came to earth through the virgin birth to remove this curse by dying on the cross for our sins. He arose from the dead after three days and later returned to heaven. Those who truly believe in Jesus (who He was and what He did) will confess their sins to Him and go to be with Him when they die. We cannot do anything to earn eternal life or to escape eternal Hell, except believe the truth about Jesus. Satan deceives people about the truth, but he will eventually be cast into an eternal lake of fire along with all those who reject God. At any moment Christ will come for His believers, and after seven years of supernatural destruction, He will set up His Kingdom on earth.
