The Storm of 9/11
With thunder heard midst lightning flash,
Across the angry sky.
As clouds rush by through raging storm,
While forcing winds pass by.
Its tempest toss came oh so fast
Without a chance to see—
No time to reach and stop the pain,
That came to you and me.
No help around when sudden blast
Was heard through all the world.
Then sorrow came to conquer all,
As heavy rains unfurled.
Among the raging angry storm,
That took us unaware,
Our cry for help, felt all alone,
In anguish, and deep despair.
How could it be, as great we are
To happen in one day?
To terrorize our County great,
As in sorrow and tears we lay.
An evil plan, not sent by God
But from darkness and beyond.
The cry was heard midst fire and ash,
That caused our hearts to bond.
Intensified, the fire raged on
There seemed to be no end.
For terror raged among falling brick,
As our prayers to God did ascend.
We seemed so hopeless, one and all,
We felt so all alone.
And yet amidst the flames and ash,
The wings of strength were sown.
Our spirits rose though all seemed lost,
With a tiny spark within.
The strength to travel the long hard road,
To fight this battle and win.
We ask ourselves the question, why?
We might never know.
For we must ride above the storm,
As deep sorrow winds will blow.
To make us strong, and strong we’ll be!
We’ll rise above this plight,
That plunged our Country in such a state
But, together we’ll come through the night.
Now greater we’ll stand than ever before,
And stronger we will rise.
Above the highest mountain peak
As, “In God we Trust” is our guide!
No enemy can come against
The power that comes from within.
To conquer all the evil force,
Through this lightning storm of sin.
Though crosses speak of sorrow,
When death comes through its night.
We’ll reap the cry of victory
When it reaches morning light.
For nothing now will hold us back.
Yes, higher we will rise.
Above the clouds with deep despair,
Where aching hearts do lie.
Where righteousness outweighs the sin,
And hope outweighs the loss.
Then our poor souls will rise above,
While clinging to the Cross.
Old Glory flies beyond it all.
Now higher we will be.
This only made us stronger,
Is our cry of victory!
For we say, “GOD BLESS AMERICA”
And this we know He’ll do.
As he promised to our Pilgrim Fathers,
As our flag flies through the blue.
So we must rise above the heartache,
To a new and brighter day.
With a hope that rises in us,
That will wash our tears away.
Old Glory sure will conquer all!
As hand in hand we’re led,
For prayer is the key
that will unlock the door,
To, “GOD BLESS AMERICA!”,
as said.
AMERICANS RETURN TO GOD
PRAY PRAY PRAY
In Mathew 9:37-38 Jesus spoke to us in His Word, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” The days have become very dark. Jesus is the Light of the World. We need to pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to move in bringing the fear of God to our country and the world, to open the eyes and ears of the people.
“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34). We are living in the times of Noah. Sin has reached its peak. We are now living in the end of the age where we expect Christ to return for His Church at any moment. Bible prophecy has been fulfilled. Jesus said, “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come…. This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled” (Mathew 24:14,34).
We are now there. We as a country have forsaken God. God’s Word tells us “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God” (Psalms 9:17). “The nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted” (Isaiah 60:12). We as a country that was founded on God has passed a law recently accepting gay marriages. Abortion has been legalized, allowing the killing of millions of innocent babies.
Plus we took the Bible and prayer out of our public schools and the name of God out of our universities. Government has removed the Ten Commandments from most of their walls. Also, we have stopped honoring God on Sunday, the Lord’s Day, by abolishing the blue laws. Before 9-11 our country had gone into a decline with sinful morals. Marriages have been on the decline since 1960 with divorce rates tipping the scales. Now, couples just live together, not taking vows before God as for better or worse, richer or poorer, sickness and in health ’til death do us part. This has broken another one of the Ten Commandments: “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” We as a country have committed greater sins than in the days of Noah.
Yet, thank God for the Holy Spirit that lives in us, holding back the evil. “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17). Jesus is the Light of the world (John 9:5). We are at the end of the age. The rapture is ready to take place. All born again believers will be taken out of this earth to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. The day is far spent, the night is at hand. What we need to do, we must do now! We must pray as never before. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Holy Spirit lives in us, holding back the evil. When we are removed from this earth, Satan and sin will take over. You don’t want to be left behind. To stand up for Christ at that point in time will be losing your life by not taking the mark of the beast. “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work” (John 9:4). We must finish His works by gathering in the harvest—reaching the lost souls for Christ. We must pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers into His harvest. The harvest is great, but His laborers are few. They must hear the Good News. “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
Thank God for the good old USA that was founded on the Word of God, with believers upholding the Bible and teaching it to all the world. Freedom, Old Glory, still flies through the blue—as long as the Light shines. Jesus is the light of the world. We are at the end of the age for Jesus to come for His Church at any moment. When the Church is taken up, so is the Holy Spirit. The night is coming fast when no man can work—we must PRAY as never before! We must PRAY for souls as never before.
