“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21).

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).

The world has been confused about Jesus Christ from his birth to this current day.

Much of the confusion could be cleared up if those standing in the pulpits of America were all preaching the truth. Sadly, many churches today misrepresent what the Bible teaches about the Son of God. Those that should be proclaiming the good news that, “he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them” (Hebrews 7:25), are instead bringing damage to the cause of Christ by denying the Biblical truth that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of a virgin. In this way, they keep many who are seeking from ever finding the true light of the Gospel of Christ.

The first verse on the cover of this flyer gives us insight into two cardinal doctrines of scripture: the virgin birth and the Deity of Christ.

If you look at this verse in context, you will see that it is referring to what Joseph’s (Mary’s betrothed husband) dream revealed to him concerning his wife, Mary, who was with child before they had come together. We are told he, “being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily” (vs. 19).

While Joseph thought about the situation that he found himself in, he was told in a dream by the angel of the Lord not to fear. As the second half of verse 20 says, “Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.” We are given more truth that points to the Deity of Christ in Matthew 1:23.

Drawing from the prophesy of Isaiah 7:14, we are told, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

Another verse that reinforces Matthew 1:23 and reinforces Christ’s identity as God in the flesh, is found in 2 Corinthians 5:19. We are told by the Apostle Paul, “to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”

We see here that God himself took human flesh, died on the cross of Calvary, was laid in a tomb, and, finally, was resurrected to make salvation available to any and all who will believe and trust him. Romans 10:13 tells us, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

To go a little further in clearing up some of the confusion concerning Jesus, let’s look at 1 Timothy 3:16, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

So you see, my friend, that most of the confusion surrounding Jesus can be cleared up by looking to Scripture rather than to man. I trust and pray that this tract has answered some of your questions you may have had about Jesus and salvation. 

My prayer, as well, is that you would receive him today as your personal Savior! Go to him in prayer now and agree with Romans 3:23, which says, “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Confess to him that you are a sinner.

Claim this promise in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Also in Romans 10:9-10, “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Call on him today my friend! Speak to him now, praying something like this: “Lord Jesus, I confess I am a sinner. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and that you were raised from the dead. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart to be my Savior, Amen.”
