THE QURAN, THE TORAH, AND THE GOSPEL

I. The Quran.

A. “And he has sent down the Torah and the Gospel, before this as a guide to mankind and the distinction between right and wrong” (Surah 3:3,4).

B. “Believe in … the Scripture that he sent down to those before” (Surah 4:136).

C. “We sent down the Torah: in which there is guidance and light.” (Surah 5:44).

D. “We sent Jesus … restating the Torah that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: in which there is guidance and light and confirmation of the Torah…” (Surah 5:46).

E. “…You have no ground to stand upon until you observe the Torah and the Gospel and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord.” (Surah 5:68).

F. NOTE: The Masoretic Torah and the Syriac Gospel were the only texts circulated by Jews and Christians available to Mohammad and are without error. The King James Bible as quoted below perfectly preserves the Torah and Gospel.

II. The Torah.

A. “Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you…” (Exodus 6:6).

B. “Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb … Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year … And the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it … And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it” (Exodus 12:3-7).

C. “…It is the LORD’S Passover … And when I see the blood, I will pass over you…” (Exodus 12:11,13).

D. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul” (Leviticus 17:11).

III. The Gospel.

A. “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).

B.  “And he bearing his cross went forth into a place … where they crucified him [Jesus] … he [Jesus] said … It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost” (John 19:17, 18, 30).

C. “Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen” (Lk 24:5-6).

D. “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel … by which also ye are saved … How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (I Corinthians 15:1-4).

E. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

F. “Jesus … said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? … Who is he Lord? And Jesus said unto him … it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe” (John 9:35-38).

G. “…Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the Gospel” (Mark 1:14,15).

H. “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book” (Revelation 22:18).

THE BONDAGE AND FEAR OF MOHAMMAD COMPARED TO THE LOVE AND LIBERTY OF JESUS CHRIST

I. The bondage and fear of Mohammad.

A. “Islam” means “submission”. This submission is cruel submission unto unregenerate, sinful men, who talk of mercy but fail to be merciful (Surah 6:71).

B. Women are forced to be covered from head to toe and have status like property or animals. They face the abuses of beatings and polygamy (Surah 33:59, Surah 4:3,34).

C. Bowing to Mecca five times a day with recitations is mandatory (Surah 11:114).

D. Fasting for 30 days annually is mandatory with punishments for violations (Surah 2:183-187).

E. Pilgrimage to Mecca is mandatory. No chance of escaping Hell without it. Oftentimes it is reported that people have died by trampling (Surah 22).

F. No non-Muslim friends or helpers are allowed (Surah 3:28).

G. All non-Muslims, especially Jews and Christians, must be submitted. No peace without submission. Fighting is obligatory (Surah 2:190-194).

H. Converting to another religion is entirely prohibited (Surah 6:157).

I. A life of fear and despair because it cannot be known if deeds of Islam will weigh heavy enough to escape Hell (Surah 101:1-11).

II. The Liberty and love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

B. “Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

C. “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (I Corinthians 15:3-4).

D. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works” (Ephesians 2:8-10).

E. “Dost thou believe on the Son of God?…Who is he, Lord? And Jesus said unto him…it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe” (John 9:35-38).

F. “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world, looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour, Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:11-13).

G. “Beloved let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us…Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him” (I John 4:7-12, 15-16).

H. “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1).

I. “Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life” (Rev. 2:10).
