Who is the last Adam? And most importantly, who is the first man, Adam?

In the Bible in 1 Corinthians 15:45 we read “…The first man Adam [from Genesis] became a living being; the last Adam [the Son of God, Jesus Christ], a life-giving spirit.”

The first man, Adam, sinned against God which brought death into the world.

In Romans 5:12 we read “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man [first Adam], and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned.”

In verse 19 we read “For just as through the disobedience of the one man [first Adam] the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one Man [last Adam, Jesus Christ] the many will be made righteous.”

In 2 Corinthians 5:21 we read that “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.”

How do we become the righteousness of God? By believing Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, was raised the third day, which He proved by appearing to His twelve disciples (and hundreds of others).

“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve” (1 Corinthians 15:3-5).

Believe on Him today!

“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, ‘Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!’

The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ They replied,

‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and your household.’” (Acts 16:25-31)
