Dear Friend,

I’m giving you this tract because I believe Jesus Christ is coming back soon. The day I do not know, nor will I try to guess. I believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell. I believe that Almighty God desires for us to spend eternity with Him in Heaven, but, because of the effects of sin, not everyone will be with Him there.

I realize by giving you this I may no longer be looked upon in a favorable manner, and may be shunned or ignored by many. But friend, your soul is more important to me than your acceptance of me. For to believe the way I do and not warn you of the impending danger would mean I have little or no feeling for you at all.

I know my past will haunt me, for I lived a very worldly life in front of you. But I can’t dwell on that, and I accept and expect any repercussions that may incur. My hope and wish for you is that you (if you haven’t already) would accept Jesus as your only means of salvation, and put your trust and faith in Him.

Now here’s the hard part (at least for me): by accepting Jesus, you are also accepting His way for your life, which includes repentance of self (in other words, sins). To accept Jesus also means you accept His Word (the living Bible) as the ultimate authority in what you say and believe. I won’t lie, it took a lot of grace, mercy, and chastening on the part of the Lord to get me where I am today.

I had a friend who was sharing a message on repentance, and he shared that he wasn’t going to list a bunch of sins for fear he would leave someone out, stating that God’s word is clear on the things God finds unacceptable for a believer. My prayer from now on (with God’s help) will be that I serve Him in the way He deserves, after what He did for me on the cross, because that would be my reasonable service if I truly believe.

No magical prayer is going to save anyone’s soul, rather, it is a matter of accepting Jesus’s death on the cross which covered your sins, believing that He rose again after three days, and turning your life over to His care. It clearly states in the Bible that no man can enter God’s kingdom except through Jesus Christ; the only other path according to God’s Word for eternity is Hell, and He’s not willing that any should perish.

God’s Word says:

Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had [really] known Me, you would also have known My Father. From now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” - John 14:6-7

The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. - 2 Peter 3:9
