Your teenage years can be the most enjoyable time of your life. However, it also can be some of the most challenging times as well. It almost seems like you are forced to make some big decisions before you are fully equipped or ready to do so. God understands this and has addressed these teen challenging decisions in His Word.

Here's a list of 25 things that God wants teens to know from the Bible. Read them, study them out for yourself and apply them to any decision you're making. They'll assist you in having a blessed life.

Concerning your life

1. No matter how long you live, your life is too short to waste.

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14

2. It is a blessed life to follow God’s plan.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Psalms 1:1

3. To live an entitled life or take advantage of your parent’s generosity or sympathy is to rob yourself of character, dignity and self-worth.

Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer. Proverbs 28:24

4. The life that you live, even as a child, will establish your reputation.

Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. Proverbs 20:11

5. Authority in your life is more valuable to you than you may ever imagine.

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Hebrews 13:17

6. Disobedience to your parents will shorten your life.

Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise.
Ephesians 6:2

7. Even if your family has forsaken you, God never will.

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. Psalms 27:10

8. A rebellious life will end in regrets.

He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach. Proverbs 19:26

9. You don’t get a free pass on sin just because you are young or “sowing your wild oats.”

Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.
Ecclesiastes 11:9

10. Life does not have an eraser for the bad choices made in your youth, but God does offer forgiveness.

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord. Psalms 25:7

Concerning your salvation

11. You are born with a sin nature; you don’t have to commit every sin in the Bible to be lost.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Romans 5:12

12. You don’t have to live a wicked, ungodly lifestyle, before you get saved, to have a real testimony.

Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them. Ecclesiastes 12:1

13. You should never wait until you get older to get saved.

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:14

14. You cannot go to heaven by trying to keep the 10 Commandments.

The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Matthew 19:20

15. Jesus is the only way to heaven.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Concerning your service for Him

16. You can be used by God as an example to other youth.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

17. God created you to be the person He wants you to be.

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Jeremiah 1:5

18. You can serve God even in your youth.

But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Jeremiah 1:7

19. The Word of God will clean your heart.

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Psalms 119:9

20. A filthy mouth is a sign of a sinful heart.

Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. James 3:10

21. Pride and selfishness will bring you down.

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

22. God knows what’s best for you.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

23. There is a way to gain victory over the flesh.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

24. Abstinence is still the right choice for following God’s plan for your life.

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication. 1 Thessalonians 4:3

25. If it looks, sounds or appears evil avoid it at all costs.

Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22

How to be saved:

• Admit that you are a sinner and be willing to turn to God from your sinful life.

• Believe that Jesus was God in the flesh and that He died for your sin and arose on the third day.

• Call out to Him by faith and ask Him to forgive you and to come into your heart.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
