"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:13-15). “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). “And many shall follow their pernicious [malicious, wicked] ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of” (2 Peter 2:1-2).

“All scripture is given by inspiration [divinely breathed in] of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Yoga is not a word found in God’s inspired, inerrant Word. Yoga is a fatal fusion of the pagan and occultic and mystical practices of Hinduism. It is a ritual within a pantheistic / panentheistic religious and philosophical belief system.

Yoga means “to unite, to yoke.” It is a potentially ominous, occultic union of one’s physical body to the kundahlini-shakti “force”—demon possession / fallen angels. The Kundalini “awakening” is false enlightenment [serpent wisdom] and does not connect one to a contrived “universal consciousness” or “universal life energy,” but perilously to Satan [the serpent in the Garden] and abominable idolatry and enmity to Christ, which brings God’s wrath and potential destruction. “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ” (Colossians 2:8). Christ says, “Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:29-30).

Occult: “Supernatural, mystical, black magic, witchcraft, sorcery, necromancy, wizardry, the black arts, devil worship, mysticism, hidden from view, to block or shut off an object from view, to conceal.” In yoga, Satan is hidden from view, “the god of this world” who “hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them” (2 Corinthians 4:4).

The pernicious occultic, mystical practices of yoga vainly oppose God’s Word. “Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God” (Leviticus 19:31). A “spirit guide” is a familiar spirit, a demon being channeled. Familiar (Hebrew): “A bottle; a python, or a soothsaying demon; a magician possessed with the demon, being as it were, a bottle or vessel, and sheath of this python.”

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him” (2 Corinthians 11:3-4). “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts” (2 Peter 3:3), “having not the Spirit” (Jude 1:17-19).

The Satanic, counterfeit yogic practices are disarmingly branded with Western and Christianized labels (information control) to conceal the lying vanities (Jonah 2:8) of occultism, mysticism and pagan idolatry. “But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD” (Ezekiel 11:21).

Yogic “Meditation": When critical reasoning ceases [analytical and rational thinking, knowledge, clear reasoned judgments, evaluating information], we experience a counterfeit replacement of sensory, experiential, and emotion, via dangerous yogic practices of “emptying” / “resting the mind,” “sense withdrawal,” inducing a “state of mind beyond thinking,” and become vulnerable to deception and manipulation by nefarious movements. God says, “The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts” (Psalm 10:4). “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them” (Hebrews 10:16; 8:10). “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night” (Psalm 1:2; 119:15, 48, 148; Joshua 1:8). “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee” (1 Timothy 4:15-16). “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2). Renewing (Greek): “A renewal, renovation, complete change for the better effected by the Holy Spirit”—not dangerous demonic spirits in New Age pagan practices. “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration [new birth], and renewing of the Holy Ghost” (Titus 3:5; Psalm 19:14).

Meditate (Greek): “To remember and focus on His commandments and on all His works and doings continually; to read syllable by syllable”—not chant a syllable mindlessly as a counterfeit, unprofitable focus.

Yogic “Self as Central” [Idolatry]: God says, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Timothy 3:1-5). “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory [groundless self-esteem, empty pride, self-conceit]; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves” (Philippians 2:3); “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me” (Matthew 16:24).

Which Spirit do you seek—The Spirit of Life & Truth or a Malevolent Imposter & Seducing spirit? God says, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1). “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1). “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:2; the spirit of error 1 John 4:6). “Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit” (1 John 4:13)—the Spirit of truth (1 John 5:6; 4:6)—the Spirit of life (Romans 8:2). “And I will put My Spirit within you” (Ezekiel 36:25-27).

Yogic Spirituality, “Path of Yoga / the Path of the Heart”: God says, “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God” (Hebrews 3:12). “The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee” (Obadiah 1:3; Jeremiah 17:9; Matthew 15:19). “Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them” (Deuteronomy 11:16). “Make me to go in the path of Thy commandments; for therein do I delight.... Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:35, 105). “Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in His statutes, and to keep His commandments” (1 Kings 8:61). “The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide” (Psalm 37:31).

“Ancient” Yogis / Dedication to a Yogi / Yoga Instructors [Hinduism / New Age Proselytizers]: God says, “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage” (2 Peter 2:19). “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1). “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13). “They which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths” (Isaiah 3:12; 9:16). “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience” (Ephesians 5:6). “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ” (Galatians 1:6-7). “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).

Yogic Self-deification / Self is The Divine: God says: “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God [the Biblical God]” (Psalm 14:1). “Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God...yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God” (Ezekiel 28:2, 6). “For who is God save the LORD?” (Psalm 18:31). “Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me...they shall come upon thee [God’s judgments] in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put if off” (Isaiah 47:8-12).

The new way to know God [or become god] with its new revelations is the old lie in the Garden of Eden: “Yea, hath God said? Ye shall be as gods. Ye shall not surely die.” Satan changed the truth of God into a lie—Satan—the liar and murderer from the beginning (John 8:44), who deceives the world, weakens the nations, and destroys men’s souls. He who said he would be like God, deceives the nations into believing the same, who will perish in idolatry and die in their sins.

Yogic Idolatry: God says, “For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens” (Psalms 96:5). “They are all estranged from Me through their idols” (Ezekiel 14:5). “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11). “Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god” (Psalm 16:4). “There is no God else beside Me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside Me. Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else” (Isaiah 45:21-22).

God says: “I am the LORD: that is My name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images” (Isaiah 42:8); “Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods” (Jeremiah 16:20)? “Thou shalt know no god but Me: for there is no saviour beside Me” (Hosea 13:4). “Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men” (Psalm 9:20). “And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish” (Deuteronomy 8:19; Psalm 18:20-21).
