"Aaaaaauugghhh!!!"

"What's wrong?"

"My world is crashing in around me!"

"I'm in the depths of despair! I can't go on!"

"What are you worried about?"

"I just broke a fingernail!"

"Oh, you poor thing."

Have you ever noticed that it seems like just about everyone is worried about something?

"Worry! Worry! Worry!"

"Fret! Fret! Fret!"

"Worry! Worry! Worry!"

"Dread! Dread! Dread!"

"Worry! Worry! Worry!"

Some people have big problems and they try not to show their worry....

"You forgot your parachute."

"No big deal ... doin' okay so far."

... But others like to let the whole world know their petty concerns.

"Oh, look at the time. I just know I'm going to get a parking ticket."

"Oh, not soup again. I might get some on my tie."

"Do you think this spoon is clean enough?"

While some problems may seem insurmountable ...

"Just think! When we get out of this, the movie rights alone will be worth a fortune."

... Most things we worry about will never happen.

"Well what do you know? I thought for sure I was going to flunk."

But in spite of this, it seems that many people just can't get away from worrying.

"Yeah, I'm worried about that."

Jesus, in the Bible, spoke about the futility of worry.

"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?" (Matthew 6:25-27)

"But I am eventually going to die. Isn't that something to worry about?"

Jesus also said ...

"I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him." (Luke 12:4,5)

"Hell? I could go to Hell when I die? Now I am worried!"

But the good news is ...

"God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

"God loves us that much? How can I have that eternal life?"

First you must realize that though God loves you, it is your sin that stands in the way of your relationship with God.

"All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23).

"All have sinned?"

Yes, and if you want to receive eternal life from God, you must repent ...

"Repent?"

"But, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3)

... And place your total trust in Jesus who died for you and was raised again.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

"Trust Jesus?"

When you place your trust in Christ alone to forgive you and give you eternal life, you won't ever have to worry about what will happen when you die.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life." (1 John 5:13).

"I can know for certain?"

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me so much that You died on the cross for me. I now repent of my sins and place my total trust in You for eternal life, amen."

"Now that I have Christ in my life, I no longer need to worry about anything. How about you?"
