How do we know Jesus is God?
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5
Why did the Father send him?
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Romans 3:23-26
What authority does he have?
Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him. John 5:22-23
Why should we trust in him?
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
How does he feel about us?
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will. Ephesians 1:4-5
Is he merciful?
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
Does he enable us?
For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, “We are his offspring.” Acts 17:28
What is life without him?
Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. Ephesians 2:12
Why do we repent in his name?
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38
Does faith in him lead to salvation?
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
What happens after we die and have put our faith in him?
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
Walking with the Lord
To receive God’s gift of eternal life, the Bible says we must “turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus” (Acts 20:21). Repentance is a change of heart; we must realize that our sin is offensive to God, and turn to Him for forgiveness. To have faith in Jesus means that we believe he paid the price for our forgiveness, and put our complete trust in Him for salvation.
Ask God for forgiveness in your own words. It might sound something like this: Father God, I am a sinner, please forgive me. I thank you for sending your Son, the Lord Jesus, to die for the sins of the world. I believe that he rose from the dead and humbly accept your gift of salvation, please save me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ, please establish a relationship with our Lord Jesus. Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commands” (John 14:15). Please find a Bible-believing church and get baptized, pray and read the scriptures often, fast if you can, and ask Jesus to help you turn away from your sins.
Peace & Blessings
