When we find ourselves with a small amount we often hold on to it tightly. The story of Jesus feeding the multitude with a boy’s lunch of five loaves and two fishes is found in each of the gospels emphasizing its importance (Read it in Matthew 14:13-21; Mark 6:30-44; Luke 9:10-17; John 6:1-13). This miracle wouldn’t have happened if a boy didn’t give his lunch to Jesus.

Do you have a multitude that needs to be fed? You may not be feeding 5,000 people, but it may seem like you have a multitude of things to do or concerns to take care of.

What do you have? The money you make may not seem like enough. Your situation may seem overwhelming. Your family or friends may drive you crazy.

What happened when the boy gave what he had? When Jesus took the boy’s lunch He blessed it. The blessing not only covered the boy who had given the lunch, but it blessed everyone around him. There were even baskets of leftovers when the meal was completed.

Couldn’t you use a blessing like that? God can multiply your finances, turn your situations around, and/or give you peace in the midst of life’s storm. Not only will He bless your life, but the blessing He gives you will bless those around you so much so that they will continue to be blessed long after He has made you full.

Did you know that God wants to bless you this way? God desires so much for you to come to Him. If you abide in Him and allow Him to abide in you; He will surely take care of you (John 15:7). In other words, if you give your life to Him, just as the boy gave over his lunch and allow God to break it and bless it, you will be abundantly filled.

Dear God,

Give me the strength to turn my life over to you. Break me, bless me, and then make me full. Thank you for your sacrifice. Amen

WHAT IF WE PUT EVERYTHING IN THE HANDS OF JESUS?

Always remember that God is your refuge when situations become difficult:
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. Psalm 118:8

We can trust that God will make everything alright:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Know that God sees each situation, and is ready to help and deliver:
As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God! Psalm 40:17

BE BLESSED!!
