The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9 that we are “saved through faith … not by works.” Many people think they are getting to heaven by doing and being good, like the traveler trying to purchase a ticket. But that’s not true. The Bible says in John 1:12 that we must receive Jesus Christ as our Savior!
In this parable, the conductor is the Lord Jesus Christ who paid for our sins by dying on the cross.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
Don’t wait to receive Christ! “Now is the day of salvation!” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Like our weary traveler, tomorrow may be too late.
Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life:, no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”
Please don’t wait and have Jesus say, “I never knew you” (Matthew 7:23).
