JJ was a kid who was just like you
He liked to go fishing and play soccer too.
But JJ worried night after night
If he’d make it to heaven at the end of his life.
One Sunday at church an old couple stopped
Little books about Jesus is what they had brought.
JJ got one of their books for free
Then later at home he started to read:
God is perfect, but our sin has a price
So God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus died for our sins and rose from the grave
Trust Him with your heart and you will be saved.
JJ believed in God’s wonderful gift
So he bowed his head and prayed something like this:
“Dear God, I’m a sinner, but I’m trusting Your way
In Jesus’ name please come save me today.”
Now he was happy, now he was sure
God’s promise of heaven for him was secure!
JJ was a kid who was just like you
And the Jesus he trusts can be your Savior too.
