It’s All About Choices
Every day you have options—and with every choice comes a consequence. Often when we choose what is easy, the consequence may be hard. Staying in bed this morning may have seemed like just what you needed, but the end of the day could look pretty bad if you didn’t take care of your responsibilities. We make choices about what we will eat, where we will go, what we will do for fun, who we will see, and what we will say to other people. Bad choices can make life miserable. Good choices can make it great.
Sometimes we decide to not choose and just see what will happen. While this may be easy at first, usually it gets us into big trouble. Indecision can ruin your life as much as making a bad decision. Maybe you have been putting off making any decision about God or what happens after we die. This is the most costly delay for anyone.
When it comes to eternity, not deciding is the same as making the worst choice you have ever made. “For many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able … saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not … depart from Me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
We have a limited amount of time to choose, then we will live with our choice or indecision forever. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
Hopefully You Will Make The Right Choice and Soon
“Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts … lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.”
There is no guarantee you will be able to choose tomorrow. “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?” This is one choice you need to make now.
You can make sure that heaven will be where you go when you die. “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life.”
It may be hard to admit you are pretty bad by God’s standards, and don’t even deserve to go to Heaven. You may not want to admit that nothing you do satisfies God. “We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.”
It may seem easier to believe that God doesn’t exist, but that’s a lie. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”
There is a solution. God solved our situation by sending His Son to pay for our sins. What we must do is trust God and believe what He tells us in the Bible. We must believe that Jesus, God’s Son, paid for our wrong doings by dying on the cross. “Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures.”
We must ask for forgiveness. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” That is the only way to get to Heaven.
Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Don’t put off making this decision. God loves you and wants to save your soul, but the choice is up to you.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Talk to God and say something like this: “Dear God, I want to make the right choice, right now. I know I am a sinful person. Please forgive me. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son and died to pay for my sins. I want Him to be my Lord and Savior. I ask this in His name, Amen.”

IT IS THE TRUTH!
The Bible is the only book God wrote to us. It is totally reliable and tells us how to live to please Him, because He is our Creator. There is only One God, though He functions simultaneously as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, born of a virgin. He never sinned, but died on the cross to make payment for our sins. Then, He rose from the dead! We have no way to pay for our sins except suffer forever in Hell or accept the payment made by Jesus Christ. All those who trust only and completely in Christ will go to Heaven. Jesus will come again soon to take away all those who believe in Him and after devastating tribulation, He will return to set up His Kingdom on earth.
