We have all heard that God is perfect, but did you ever wonder if He could possibly make a mistake?
Some people think He can. They think God made a mistake when He created them. Even though they were born a girl, they think they should be a boy. Or, a boy might think he should be a girl. It can be so confusing! Did God get it wrong? Did He make a mistake? What do you think?
Let’s see what God has to say about it in His word, the Bible.
First of all, you need to know how very special you are! The Bible says you are fearfully and wonderfully made! Before you were even born, Jesus knew you. He was the One who formed you in your mother’s body! Read these verses very carefully:
“You created the deepest parts of my being. You put me together inside my mother’s body. How you made me is amazing and wonderful. I praise you for that. What you have done is wonderful. I know that very well.” Psalm 139:13-14 NIRV
WOW!
Did you read that? It says that while you were being formed in your mommy’s tummy God saw you and knew exactly what you would be like. He knew whether you would be a boy or a girl, what color eyes you would have, how tall you would grow to be, and even exactly how many days you would live!
“Your eyes saw my body even before it was formed. You planned how many days I would live.” Psalm 139:16 NIRV
God said you are perfect just the way you are and He has a wonderful plan for your life!
The first book of the Bible—Genesis—tells us how God made all of us.
“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27 NLT
There it is! God made us in His image and He made us male or female. God does not make mistakes! You were born exactly the way God planned and He has a purpose for your life.
“God has made us what we are. He has
created us in Christ Jesus to live lives filled with good works that he has prepared for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 GW
No matter what others may say, never doubt God’s great love for you and His plan for your life. He loves you so much that He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross to take the punishment for your sin.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV
“Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”Romans 10:13 NKJV
Call on Jesus today! Ask Him into your heart and trust His great plan for your life. He made you and loves you just the way you are! Remember, God does not make mistakes!
Dear Jesus, thank you for this reminder that I am special just the way you created me. Come into my heart, forgive my sin, and help me to follow your great plan for my life. In your name I pray, Amen.
