Canyon Crossing
How will we ever get across?
I can jump across.
Good efforts aren’t enough.
The Bible says…"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
I’ve earned it. I’ve worked hard for everything I’ve got. I deserve it. I… I...AAAIEEE!!!

Good morals aren’t enough.
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags. (Isaiah 64:6)
Let me try! I can make it. I’ve lived a very moral life. I help others all the...AAAIIEEE!!!

Education and psychology aren’t enough.
There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. (Proverbs 14:12)
I can do it! I’m well educated, and I’ve got life’s answers figured out. Nothing can... AAAIIEEE!!!

Religion isn’t enough.
Jesus said in the Bible… Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven...I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ (Matthew 7:21-23)
I’ll make it. I’ve dedicated my life to my religion. I worship every...AAAIIEEE!!!

Well if these guys can’t make it, I certainly can’t. I need help from the other side.
God made a way to get to Him.
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:18)
But we have to walk across His bridge to get there.
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12)
I’m trusting in Christ to save me.
Man’s way: death
God’s way: life through faith in Christ
Now the question is, which side of the bridge are you on?
Dear Lord, I turn from my own way of trying to earn my way to You, and I now place my trust in Your Son, Jesus, who died for me and rose from the grave.
