1. Is your name in the book?

Revelation 20:15, “And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”

2. How did I get here?

Answer: God created humans in His own image. Male and female, He created them (Genesis 1:27). Everything that has ever been made has had a builder. God made the human body complete in an instant. The first human had a brain, heart, lungs, nervous system, etc., and was created in an instant, or the first human would never have been able to breathe or see to get food, etc. This points to a Divine God who created all things. The Bible says that all people know the truth about God because He has made it obvious to them through His divine creation on the earth and in the sky, so all humans are without excuse (Romans 1:19-20).

3. Why did God create you?

Answer: God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. God wants a loyal, obedient relationship with all of His creation. We want the same thing in our relationships. God created us to be loved by Him, and for us to love Him back.

4. How do we know what is good or evil?

Answer: God distinguished good from evil at the beginning of creation. It was instilled in humans by Creator God to have a conscience and to know right from wrong. God never created us to be robots, but to think freely and make choices. We can choose to love someone or not; we can choose to pursue the path of life or that of death (Deuteronomy 30:19).

5. Why don’t humans naturally choose or want to have a relationship with the only true God?

Answer: Humans naturally want to be their own god and be in control of their own lives. They will not naturally give allegiance to the true Almighty God. As 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

6. What is the spiritual force behind the evil on the earth?

Answer: Satan, also known as the devil, was an angel created by God, but he became prideful and wanted to take the place of God. For that reason, Almighty God cast him out of heaven. From this time on the devil has been working in the spiritual realm to pull people away from the One True Father God and bring as many to hell with him as he can. “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8, NLT).

7. So, what happened in the Garden of Eden?

Answer: God told Adam and Eve that they could eat from any tree in the perfect garden including the tree of life, but not the tree of good and evil. Satan deceived Adam and Eve into thinking that they could be their own god if they would just eat from this forbidden tree, a deception that the devil is still doing today (Genesis 3:1-7). Adam and Eve fell for this lie and were disloyal to their Father God. So, sin entered the world, and from that point on every human has this inherited sin nature born into them. After Adam and Eve fell into sin, God in His wisdom would not allow them to eat from the tree of life. This prevented them from living forever while spiritually separated from Him. Therefore, God made them leave paradise and closed off the entrance. You see, not only was God the creator of His Kingdom, He is the King of His Kingdom and wants His creation to look to Him as its King. Naturally, only those who are loyal to Him and love Him will be in His kingdom with Him forever.

8. What was God’s solution to bring people back into right relationship with Him?

Answer: In order to defeat the sin and death which humans brought to earth, Father God became fully human while He was still fully God. Colossians 1:15 says “[Jesus] is the image of the invisible God.” His name was Jesus, and He was God in the flesh. He lived a perfect, sinless life while here on earth. God had to become human to conquer the sin and death brought to earth by the first humans Adam and Eve.

King Jesus was crucified on the cross like a criminal, then He was buried, and finally resurrected on the third day. Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection would make the way back to God’s kingdom for all who would put their faith and trust in Him as their Lord and Savior. Jesus’ resurrection was necessary to defeat the sin and death that separated mankind from a relationship with God. This victory on the cross made it possible for humans who have surrendered their lives to King Jesus to one day have a glorified resurrected body and live in heaven with the Lord.

9. Why did God have to take our punishment on the cross?

Answer: God is perfect and holy. He created humans to be holy, obedient, and loyal to Him and to love Him back. Humans chose to be disloyal to their Father God. All sins are crimes against God and must be punished because God is just. Not one human is sin-free, and no one is good enough to enter Father God’s Kingdom since God is perfect. Just as lawbreakers must stand before a judge in the court of law, so will humans have to stand before their Creator God as judge over all people.

Revelation 20:12-15 says that on judgment day the Book of Life will be opened. If your name is written in the Book, you are free to enter the eternal paradise to be with King Jesus. Unfortunately, the sad alternative (not having your name in the Book of Life) will result in eternal punishment in hell where you must suffer the penalty for your sin, forever separated from the presence of God.

10. How do you get your name written in the Lambs Book of Life?

Answer: 1) Repent of your sins. 2) Trust Jesus as your Lord and Savior and receive His gift of grace and forgiveness.

11. What does it mean to Repent?

Answer: Admit that you have not been loyal to the One True God, King Jesus who created you. Confess that you have sinned against Him, by rebelling and following false gods. Repentance is first changing your mind about who you thought God was or whether or not He even existed, and turning to Him as your Lord, King, and Savior.

By surrendering to King Jesus as Lord and Savior, Jesus will choose to enter you through the Holy Spirit and convict you to turn from all sin. You must first turn from your old way of thinking, by changing your allegiance from any false gods to the One True God, Jesus. Tell Father God that you are sorry for your sins and your disloyalty to Him as the only true God. You will be spiritually transformed when you surrender to King Jesus as Lord and Savior. Cry out to Him to have mercy on you. When you cry out to Jesus to save you, trusting in Him, knowing that He is your only hope, the Holy Spirit will indwell you, giving you a new spirit and a new life.

Imagine that you are in an ocean and the current is pulling you out to sea. Someone is on a boat and throws you a life preserver and is yelling and telling you to grab it and they will pull you to safety. You must actually grab a hold of the life preserver, trusting that you will be pulled to safety. Sadly, when we are talking about eternal life, many will not turn to King Jesus, cry out to Him, and grab a hold of the life preserver (King Jesus). Instead, they will insist on doing it their way and start trying to swim to shore on their own, only to be swept into eternal destruction.

12. How do you place your trust in King Jesus?

Answer: You cry out to Him. Tell Him that you believe that He is who He said that He is: Lord, God, King, and Savior. Confess this belief with your mouth. Tell King Jesus that you trust Him to save you from eternal hell. It is a full surrender to your King. Right now, you can personally receive this new life in Jesus if you repent of your unbelief (tell Father God you are sorry), change your mind about who you thought Father God was, and tell Him personally that you believe and trust in Him as your Lord and Savior. By doing this you can have a relationship with your King and Savior right now. This step of faith will allow you to enter into His Kingdom spiritually now, and later physically into His heavenly paradise.

13. What happens after I Repent and Trust Jesus as Lord and Savior?

Answer: The Holy Spirit (Father God’s Spirit, the Lord Jesus’s Spirit; one God=one Spirit) will come into you and your name will be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. You are a new creation now, the old is gone, the new is here.

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 1:13, NIV).

14. Once your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life what changes for you?

Answer: You take “your” cross and follow Jesus (Luke 9:23-24). The cross was a sign that someone’s life was taken. Jesus died on the cross physically for our punishment and then resurrected from the grave on the third day, conquering death for us. The believer, or follower of King Jesus, dies a spiritual death to their old self when they surrender to Jesus as Lord and Savior and the Holy Spirit takes up residence in them. When the Holy Spirit comes to live in you, your life is no longer your own. Now, we want to spend time with the Lord, seeking Him and His will for our lives. We will seek Him daily and be a witness to other people to persuade them to come to King Jesus, helping further His Kingdom. We do this all because of our new love for Him—not because we are working for salvation. This new life is a gift from Father God, no one can earn it. The only thing required is full trust in Jesus as the only way of salvation, surrendering to Him as King and Lord. Salvation is given to you by Father God. The Bible says You are not your own, you were bought with a price, the pouring out of King Jesus’s blood. This new relationship with Jesus brings us from death to life and sets us free from our old sinful lifestyle, allowing us to walk in holiness. Although we will still make mistakes, we should no longer live in willful sin and disloyalty to our Creator and Lord, Jesus. So live free in Jesus and tell others how He has changed your life (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
