COMPLETELY FREE?

The precious freedoms we greatly enjoy

Did not come to us without cost.

Many were willing to risk their lives—

And so many a life was lost.

What gratitude should be in our hearts

For each one who has paid the price—

For all those heroes, brave and true,

And their selfless sacrifice!

But a greater freedom to cherish

Also was won at staggering cost—

For to be free from the penalty of sin,

Required Jesus’ death on a cross.

How thankful our hearts should be

For the price that God’s Son has paid!

By sacrificing His life for ours,

Free access to heaven was made!

Yes, the price was paid for our freedoms,

But are you completely free?

Trust Jesus to save you from sin—

And eternally free you will be!
