I know tract ministry works, because it changed my life. Back in 1968, a young girl and her father were handing out tracts in east Des Moines, in a bar district where I frequented. One Saturday night I was bar hopping and I saw the man give something to his daughter. She then came and handed it to me. It was a tract. I thanked her and put in my jacket pocket. Two weeks later I put that same coat back on and I found the tract. I read it, and it really made me think. I went out to the bar that night anyway, but in a few short weeks, other incidents happened that made a life-style change for me. That tract was the point that made me think and changed my life. A couple came in for breakfast. They of course tipped me, but they left me a card that I needed to see. They didn’t even know it was my birthday! I felt like God was looking over me today.

Motion Tracts are very well received as an icebreaker to talk to people about the gospel. Folks are usually willing to take a good look at the card because it’s pocket-size with a short message, and we found they are effective in capturing people’s attention. Our church participated in a community event in May and used the motion tracts as our evangelistic gift for those who came to our booth.

I am currently incarcerated and have 18 years left on my sentence. As you can imagine, being away from my wife, my children, and family takes its toll on ones spiritual growth. When I received and read your tract “Why Am I Here” I was in awe of the power just one tract had over me and it caused me to again totally commit myself to the Lord. It made such an impression on me that I had to immediately write this letter to you. Do you have any other Bible tracts to keep me aware of God’s unconditional love, compassion, and steadfast fellowship? Could you please send them so that I may read them, and then pass them on to my fellow inmates? I would be extremely grateful for any literature you could send.

Aloha, I wanted to express my thanks to your ministry for all the generous resources that you provide to help keep these men focused on continually seeking God. The “Moments For You” pamphlets, calendars, and booklets are always welcomed, well-received, and in-demand. We are in need of more resources so that we can accommodate our population of 1000 inmates, and we are hoping that you will be able to meet this need at this late date. Thank you, for all your support that you continue to give to this prison community that lives on the provisions of God which we receive to help these men in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
