Your eternal destiny will depend on that decision: whether you repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Almighty Creator of all things and the Saviour of all men, or reject Him and go your own way. \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Prov. 14:12).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou see, my friend, man has come up with many vain and empty ideas, whereby he believes everything is just fine. Whether their confidence is a self-righteous religion, a science so falsely called, or hope or faith in themselves, they will find ruin at the end of life’s journey. We ask people this question: If you were to die and stand before the Lord at the gate of Heaven and He asked you “Why should I let you into Heaven?”, what would your answer be, my friend? Most answer, “Well, I hope by what I have done...” (Feeding the poor, giving to charities, keeping the sacraments, getting baptized, and so on.) People seem to think they are okay with what they do or have done.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eThese are the ways of death, my friend. The Lord says, \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us,…”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Titus 3:5).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e Salvation is God’s gift. \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Eph. 2:8).\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne must repent. \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Luke 13:5). \u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003eRepentance is not something you do or don’t do. \u003cb\u003eRepentance is a change of your heart and mind.\u003c\/b\u003e The fruit of true repentance and faith is the change God will produce in you to be conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ, producing obedience to Him. \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e“Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Acts 20:21).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSee yourself lost and sinful, deserving of hell.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eCrying out with a godly sorrow for your sin to God. \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e“For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of:\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003ebut the sorrow of the world worketh death”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e (II Cor. 7:10).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e Godly sorrow for sin worketh repentance (change of mind) to salvation (faith in Christ Jesus) by which God changes your heart and behavior to be like His Son Jesus Christ, who lives within you.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cb\u003eGod wants all to repent.\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003ci\u003e“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Acts 17:30).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e Realize and acknowledge you’re lost, headed for a devil’s hell.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003ci\u003e“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Rom. 3:23).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Rom. 3:10).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e Sin destroys, God saves, giving life eternal through His Blessed Son Jesus Christ. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Rom. 6:23).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e The choice is yours, which will you choose: life (Christ Jesus) or death (Hell).\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eA Philippian jailer wisely chose. Acts 16:27-31\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003esays: \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e“And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003ecame trembling\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci\u003e, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003eSirs, what must I do to be saved?\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci\u003e And they said, \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003eBelieve on the Lord Jesus Christ\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci\u003e, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e Glory! Salvation came to that poor jailer that day!\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cb\u003eYou, also my friend, Christ Jesus came to save.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cb\u003eThe Lord wants to save you.\u003c\/b\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Rom. 5:8).\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Lord Jesus Christ has paid for our great and awful sin debt, my friend. John 1:29 says \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e Yes! Amen! He wants all to repent, come unto Him, and believe the gospel … the Good News! \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003ehow that Christ died for our sins\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci\u003e according to the scriptures; And that \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003ehe was buried\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci\u003e, and that \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003ehe rose again\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci\u003e the third day according to the scriptures” \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(1 Cor. 15:3-4).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003eGod will save \u003cb\u003eall\u003c\/b\u003e that will come unto Him by His Son Jesus Christ. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and \u003c\/i\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003ehim that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003ci\u003e”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(John 6:37).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSalvation explained in one verse: \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(Is. 53:6).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e Yes, you go into this verse lost and come out, if believing, saved. Hallelujah. By believing in the Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God, that He took your sin upon Him at Calvary, fully paying with His precious blood your sin debt, you become born of the Holy Spirit of Christ \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(John 3:5).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e Born a child of God in Christ, inheriting eternal life. Christ Jesus declared: \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cspan\u003e\u003ci\u003e(John 6:47).\u003c\/i\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAlso in Romans 10:9, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e And Rom. 10:13, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eThis is our lovely Lord Jesus’ promise.\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCall upon Him now, delay not a second, dear friend.
