One Minute That Could Change Your Eternity

One minute

God loves you so much that He wanted you to be able to clearly understand, in 60 seconds or less, how to be set free from sin and death and to receive the gift of everlasting life in Heaven.

With eternity at stake, is there any other message more important to give your attention to? With the fragility of life and its temporary timeline, do you want to take the chance of ignoring this message and running out of time before you can hear the truth and let it change your life forever?

If you have ears to hear (Matthew 11:15), this good news will renew your spirit, and give you new life – one that is prepared to enter the never-ending blessings of eternity in the presence of God.

This good news doesn’t always seem like good news for those who want to believe their life is just fine the way it is. That’s because this good news causes one first to recognize that they are far from perfect; in fact, they are corrupted by a sin nature that causes them to act in ways contrary to the perfect, holy standards of God. God hates sin because it separates us from Him and the blessings He intended for us at the creation of the world. Without Him, our only future is physical and spiritual death and an eternity of separation from God in Hell.

In fact, without the presence of God in our lives, we are completely dead and unable to do anything to help ourselves.

Thirty seconds more. Stay with me!

But in His great love, He did not want to leave us there. He gave us a way to once again come to Him and be set free from the power of sin.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many” (Hebrews 9:27-28a).

Jesus Christ came from heaven to earth for the purpose of dying in our place, taking the very thing that sin deserves. Because He was fully God and fully man, He could represent humanity before God yet still be the infinite solution to the infinite problem of sin. He showed this by rising from the dead. In Jesus Christ is the power of forgiveness of sin and eternal life.

This is not something any of us could have done for ourselves. We are born dead in sin (see Ephesians 2:1) and destined for eternal separation from God because of that. But because God loved us, he made a way for us to leave death behind and have life and joy forever, with Him (John 3:16).

This is a free gift. All you have to do is accept it. When you trust in Jesus Christ to forgive you of sin and set you free from its power, your sins will be separated as far as the east is from the west (that’s infinite separation by the way!) (Psalm 103:12). And though once that sin separated you from God, you will receive the righteousness of Christ in you and will be able to be with God forever (see 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus said: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24).

Turn from sin and turn toward God by trusting in Jesus Christ, the Way, Truth, and Life (John 14:6)!

Such a message of eternal joy was worth a moment of your time, don’t you think?

Now what will you do with the remainder of your time on earth?
